REMOVE THE WATER

  • Begin the process by turning disconnecting the supply line
  • Flush the toilet to remove the water from the bowl
  • Since there will be extra water left in the bowl, use a plunger to force the

    water down the drain

  • If water remains in the bowl, use a sponge to soak the water out

 

  • REMOVE THE OLD TOILET
    • Remove the trim caps from the base
    • Loosen and take off the washers and nuts
    • If you notice the nuts are rusted, remove them using a hacksaw
    • Sway the toilet side to side until it unscrews
    • Once the toilet is removed, you will have open access to the sewer • Put a rag in the hole to avoid gases

    NEW WAX SEAL

TOILET INSTALLATIONS

  • Remove the previous wax seal
  • Check to see if the flange is in good condition
  • Take out the rag that was placed in the hole earlier
  • If the flange is damaged, call us today for a skilled plumber
  • Put a new wax seal and screw new bolts
  • REMEMBER: You must remove the rag before attaching the new wax seal. If this is not

    performed in the order listed, it can result into a costly mistake.

    TANK AND BOWL

    • Attach the tank and bowl using the closet bolts
    • Attach the bolts in the opening to the base of the tank • Align the holes with the bolts and place the tank
    • Attach a nut to the bolts to tighten the tank
    • Make sure to tighten all the bolts to prevent wobbling • Apply the trim caps over the bolts
    • Attach the seat and the lid with mounting bolts
